Randi Luevano, LCSW

I am a devoted clinician with a deep passion for supporting children and mothers through the complexities of pregnancy, birth, childhood, and beyond. I am a Mesa, Arizona native and earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Northern Arizona University and my Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. I have been a licensed behavioral health professional since 2014 and have worked with women and children since 2011. My commitment to early intervention and preventative care led me to specialize in early childhood development and maternal wellness.

Working with children was my first true passion. As a play therapist, I work with children ages 4 to 12 using both child-centered and directive approaches, honoring play as a child’s natural language and a powerful tool for healing. I create warm, imaginative spaces where children can safely explore emotions, build communication skills, and process life experiences.

My work with mothers is deeply personal. After becoming a parent myself, I experienced postpartum anxiety and quickly realized how difficult it can be to access meaningful, timely support during such a vulnerable season. That experience profoundly shaped my clinical focus and strengthened my passion for maternal mental health. I understand firsthand how overwhelming motherhood can feel—especially when you’re expected to “just be happy” while navigating hormonal shifts, identity changes, relationship stress, and the constant mental load of caring for others.

I provide individualized support for women during pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and major life transitions—all things mom. Depending on each client’s needs and goals, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based approaches. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and practical, helping women reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and feel supported rather than judged.

I also parent a neurodivergent child, which has further deepened my understanding of the emotional, logistical, and advocacy-related challenges many families face. This lived experience allows me to bring added empathy, patience, and authenticity to my work with both children and caregivers.

Above all, I strive to offer a peaceful, warm, and empathetic presence. My goal is to create a space where both children and caregivers feel truly seen, understood, and supported. I am a mother of two (including one stepchild) and am married to a first responder, giving me additional insight into the unique stressors modern families navigate.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We love to travel, try new foods, stay active, and tend to small homesteading projects like raising quail and gardening—simple joys that bring connection, grounding, and a little adventure to our everyday lives.
